Description

Workshop led by local artist and crafter Nicola Allen.  Alongside her day job, Nicola hosts small workshops at home and is passionate about the countryside and passing on skills picked up at her granny's kitchen table in the Scottish Borders.

Grab your favourite Christmas jumper and join us to learn how to turn an array of seasonal foliage and ribbons into a beautiful 12 inch wreath to welcome your Christmas guests.

You can chose to make either:

  • a traditional wreath with lush green foliage, decorated with pine cones, cinnamon sticks, oranges

or

  • a modern wreath with an abundance of pine cones and berries

During this half day workshop you will received a tutorial in wreath making (with tips on keeping it in tip top condition & foraging for materials for next year).  All the materials you need (we will ask you for the style a few weeks ahead to order sufficient materials.  You will take home your stunning creation ready to hang on your door!

As always at Stitching Kitchen you will receive a warm welcome, the workshop will be held in our fully accessible craft studio with delicious tea and cake provided to keep you crafting.

Please bring along your own set of secateurs and a bag to protect your car - these are natural wreaths with a moss base.
